Trading hours are 10.00 am – 4.00 pm

Location of Market

The Young Designers Market trades alongside the weekly Lifestyle Market. The Market will be located in the heart of South Bank’s restaurant precinct. Situated on Ernest Street between Grey and Little Stanley Street.

Stall Fees & Payment

Stall fees are either $70.00 or $75.00 depending on whether you carry your own public liability insurance.

Entry into the Market is via a competitive process.

You must first submit an online Application and will be notified if you have been successful within 14 days.

If you had previously attended the Young Designer Markests in 2007, send us an email expressing your interest to attend December Market and we will advise you if you have been successful within 14 days.

Payment

If you have been successful in gaining a stall at the Market, you must pre-pay the Stall Fee within 7 days of notification of Approval to attend the Market.

Stall Sizes and Equipment Supplied

There are two types of stall set ups available:

OPTION A - 2.4 m X 2.4 m Marquee

· Marquees suit stallholders using racks for clothing etc.
· You may set up your own table within the space provided.
· The marquees will be connected on either side and will form a canopy. You may display your stock facing the front AND back of the marquee.
· We will NOT be using walls between the marquees to allow for unobstructed views across the Market area.

OPTION B - Trestle tables with fitted natural calico covers and market umbrellas

· The tables are ideally located in the centre of the Market.
· There are nine sets of this type of equipment available and are ideal for jewellery and stallholders who only require a table to display their stock.
· Table dimensions are 1.8 m X 1.1m (80cm high)
· The tables occupy the best location in the Market but are in limited supply. Stallholders whose product is suited for this set up should contact our office as soon as possible.

What equipment should I bring?

Tables, chairs and display equipment. Note that all tables must be fitted with covers that drop to within 10 cm from the ground.
A trolley to cart your stock and equipment to your stall is a good idea as you only have 20 minutes onsite to drop off or pick up your stock and equipment.

Eligibility Criteria

All products offered for sale at the Market must be designed by the Applicant. Eligible products include arts, craft, clothing, jewellery, collectibles, home wares, and other items on a case by case basis.

Where do I park?

Public parking is available at the South Bank Parklands Underground Car Park. Access is via Tribune Street or Little Stanley Street South Bank. The current daily cost is up to $15.

Bad Weather Policy

The Market will operate rain, hail or shine.

What Terms and Conditions apply?

All Stallholders are granted consent to occupy a stall at the Market on the condition that they agree to the terms and conditions of the Market Regulations by completing an Application Form and forwarding the completed Application Form to the Manager via email or by post.
